INSTRUCTIONS
General information
- UNIstore is the on-line shop that gives you the opportunity
to buy UNI standards and download them on your personal computer in
Pdf format in a very easy and quick way (or ask for the traditional
paper version to be shipped to you).
- UNIstore is the only way to buy user’s licenses for
Pdf UNI standards.
- As it is clearly stated in the license agreement customers can only buy user’s licenses
for the electronic version of standards, not the property of the file
itself.
- All other products (books, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, standards collections,
subscriptions, etc…) at present are not available from UNIstore;
for information see the section “I prodotti editoriali” (Italian only).
Search a standard
You can search the standards by keywords and/or numbers, using several search
fields in the “UNIStore – Catalogue of standards” page:
- standard reference number (note: enter only the code number without
the publication year or the part number)
- type of standard (UNI, UNI ISO, UNI EN...)
- title
- summary
- ICS code
- Publication date (for withdrawn/replaced standards you can also search according toedit the withdrawal date too)
- Version (electronic or paper)
- Status (valid, withdrawn/replaced)
- Technical Committee responsible for the development of the standard.
UNIstore contains all the national standards, including the
adoptions of European and International standards (UNI EN, UNI ISO …)
and- for the sake of information- the withdrawn/replaced standards too
in order to give a global vision of the topic of your interest.
Shopping basket
- When you have identified the standard you are looking for, put it
in your shopping basket (directly from the result page search or from
the bibliographic data,) clicking on its reference number (according
to the version you want to buy: paper or electronic file). It is possible
to select different standards and different formats passing from the
searching page to the shopping basket and viceversa.
- Through the “Remove” and “Update” buttons
it is possible to add or remove any product from your shopping basket.
- At this stage the order is not yet registered: you have only selected
some standards you are interested in.
Ordering
- When you have completed your shopping, click on the “Checkout”
button at the bottom of the shopping basket window: UNIstore
will ask you to identify yourself.
- If you are already a registered user, you have only to enter your
username and password, otherwise you have to create your personal account
with all the data needed for the invoicing (and possible shipping).
- Once the data/ username and password are entered you will be showed
the preview of the complete order . At this stage it is still possible
to edit your order, coming back to the shopping basket or directly in
the order (i.e. to modify the shipping address,..........).
- Clicking on the “Confirm” button the License
agreement appears: your order will be confirmed only if you click
the button “I accept the license agreement”.
UNIstore registration
- Registration is completely free and you need to do it only once. For
the following purchases you have only to enter your password and username.
Register now to UNIstore and you will be ready for your first purchase!
- Select “Create account” and follow the instructions or
select “Login” and choose “I am a new user and want
to create an account”.
- Personal and company data must be entered. UNIstore accepts
both “Company” and “Person” users. Note: if
you are a “VAT number registered person” please select “Company”
from the Menu “Organisation information”.
- In order to get the reserved discounts (up to 50% for UNI standards)
UNI Members must enter the identification code which must be asked by
e-mail to: richiesta.codice@uni.com
specifying the company’s name, address, VAT number/fiscal code,
UNI Member code (indicated in the invoice of the membership fee).
- you can edit part of your data by clicking “My account”.
UNIstore accepts responsibility for protecting the privacy
of its users according to the Privacy
Policy of UNI.
- A full and careful registration is very important for the e-commerce
system to manage all possible discounts (i.e. for UNI Members) and shipping
charges.
Identification code
- It’s a string of 16 alphanumeric codes reserved to each UNI
Member. It must be entered in the section “Edit account information”
of UNIstore.
- The identification code, which must be entered only once, allows the
e-commerce system to properly manage UNI Members.
- The identification code must be asked by e-mail to: richiesta.codice@uni.com
specifying: company’s name; address; VAT number; fiscal code;
UNI Member code (indicated in the invoice of the membership fee).
- The identification code is not the username nor the password.
Payment
- Once you accept the license agreement UNIstore asks you to
input the credit card data (it’s the only accepted payment for
shopping): type of credit card, number, expiry date, owner name.
- Credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard/Eurocard, American
Express.
- You can not download the standards if you have not paid for them.
- In few seconds UNIstore watermarks each standard before the
download (or organizes the production and shipment of the paper versions),
inputs the transaction data in the administrative system and releases
the invoice.
- Your credit card data are kept safe through the use our secure transaction
system.
Download
- Once you buy your standards the Pdf files are placed in the “Downloads”
area of your personal password-protected area, you can access via the
“My account” link.
- The files of the standards are in Pdf format: you need to have the
Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer to read and print
them. Acrobat Reader is freely available from Adobe
website. In order to reduce download time, it is possible to download
your complete order in a compressed format. To do this you need to have
the appropriate Winzip software.
- You have 7 days to download the files of the standards you bought.
After that time the files will be removed from ”My account”
area.
Shipping
- Electronic standards are available in “My account” clicking
“Downloads” only a few seconds after the credit card payment
- Paper copies are dispatched as soon as possible after they have been
processed. All orders for documents in paper format are shipped from
UNI by courier service. The shipping charge are fixed according to the
final destination.
Invoicing
- No paper invoice will be sent for PDF file downloaded. A Pdf format
invoice will be available in “My account”, clicking “Order
list”. A printed copy of a Pdf original perfectly conforms to
Italian fiscal legislation.
- As already stated in “Payment”, the invoicing is automatically
produced by the e-commerce system (using the data entered in the registration)
as soon as the credit card payment is fulfilled.
- In case of a “mixed purchase” (i.e. when you buy Pdf and
paper standards in the same transaction), the e-commerce system automatically
releases 2 invoices: one for the electronic format (available in “My
account”) and the other for the paper version (sent in a printed
copy together with the standard/s ordered).
“My account”
- This area is reserved to customers registered in UNIstore. You can
access it 24x7 by clicking “Catalogue” and “Login”
and entering your username and password.
- Your account area is divided in 3 sections, which contain:
• the files of the standards for which you bought the license
(“Downloads”)
• the customer’s personal data (“Personal settings”)
• the Pdf format invoices and the information about all the orders
confirmed (“Order list”).
You can also see if you have downloaded the standards you bought and
if your order for the paper versions has been dispatched
- UNI Members have to click “Edit account information”
and enter the string of 16 alphanumeric codes in “My account”
in order to get the discounts and other facilities reserved to .
Returns policy
- Except in the case of an error made by UNI, we do not accept returns
for PDF documents.
- For documents in paper format, returns must be agreed with UNI Customer
Service (e-mail to: webstore@uni.com).
Business hours
- Assistance to UNIstore customers is guaranteed from Monday to Friday
from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m by the Customer Service at the e-mail address:webstore@uni.com.
- We regret that we cannot provide help for problem related to Adobe
Acrobat software, computer configurations, printers, etc. For these
or any other computer or software-related problems, please contact your
software and/or hardware provider for help.
LICENSE AGREEMENT
User License
- For this product downloaded online from the UNI webstore
(hereafter referred to as "products") UNI grants the client
with the non-exclusive and non-transferable rights as specified in detail
below, subordinate to payment of the sums due. The client accepted the
limits stated in this license regarding the installation or production
of copies or any other use of the products. The user license does not
confer to clients ownership of the product, but exclusively the right
to use according to the conditions specified in this license. UNI may
modify the conditions of the user license at any time without notice.
Copyright
- The client acknowledged that:
- The product is property of UNI, as copyright owner -as specified
in the product itsselves- and the said rights are governed by national
legislation and international agreements on copyright.
- All rights, deeds and interests in and on the product shall remain
property of UNI, including those of intellectual property.
Product use
- The client may install and use a single copy of the product on one
workstation exclusively for internal use by employed personnel. Conditions
of installation which enable sharing of the product by multiple workstations
must be agreed upon with UNI. The client is permitted to make ONE COPY
ONLY for backup purposes. The text of the product may not be modified,
translated, adapted or reduced. The only version of the authentic text
is that conserved in the UNI archives. NON-INTEGRAL reproduction of
the product is authorised only on documents used exclusively internally
by the client. Granting of the product license, hire, resale, distribution
or transfer of any part of the product, in its original version or copy
is strictly prohibited..
Product updates
- This product downloaded online from the UNI webstore
is the current version of the UNI standard valid at the time of sale.
Products are revised, when necessary, with the publication of new editions
or updates. UNI does not undertake to notify clients of publication
of the said variants, errata corrige or new editions which modify, update
or completely replace products; it is therefore important that the clients
ensure possession of the latest edition and updates where relevant.
UNI liability
- Neither UNI nor relative manager, employee or distributor may be held
liable for any damage deriving/arising from or correlated to the use
of any products by clients. Liability lies exclusively with the clients.
Legal protection
- The client shall guarantee to UNI the supply of all information required
to ensure the full observance of the terms of this agreement by third
parties. Should the action of third parties compromise observance of
the said terms of agreement, the client undertakes to collaborate with
UNI to guarantee compliance. The agreement is governed by current standards
in Italy, and in the event of dispute the competent court shall be that
of Milan. UNI reserves to undertake legal action with respect to the
client to safeguard specific rights in all aspects of jurisdiction in
which the present agreement has been breached.
PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Processing of personal data - Informative
ex art.13 Italian Decree 196/2003
In accordance with article 13 of Italian Decree with force of law 196/2003
UNI, as data processing controller -domiciled in Via Battistotti Sassi
11/B 20133 Milan- hereby declare that the data requested in the following
pages have been collected and processed for the following purposes::
- subjects related to and instrumental for the management of the contractual relations
with clients and associations (compulsory provision of data)
- commercial information and promotion of UNI products and services
- market surveys regarding UNI activities.
As regards the processing of data, this is performed with the guarantee of safety and
confidentiality by means of the following:
- manual tools
- information tools.
In consideration of the purposes for which the data are used, the latter may be distributed
to external third parties for:
- the management of contractual relations with clients (drafting, administration, invoicing, delivery)
- credit recovery
- delivery of commercial information regarding standardisation activities.
In the event of denial of consent for processing, performance of the above procedures may
be impaired with no liability attributable for UNI for such disservice.
Furthermore, as foreseen by article 7 of Italian Decree 196/2003, the data controller is fully
entitled to access personal data for consultation, updates, deletion as well as the
right to oppose processing for legitimate reasons.
Processing of personal data – Consent ex artt.23,24,25 Italian Decree 196/2003
The undersigned acknowledges to have received the informative clause of article 13 of
Italian Decree 196/2003 governing the protection of persons and other subjects with
respect to the processing of personal data, and expressly guarantees consent in accordance
with articles 23,24,25 of the above mentioned Decree (including the collection,
recording, organisation, keeping, elaboration, modification, selection, retrieval,
comparison, utilisation, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination,
erasure and destruction) according to the terms of the above informative clause and the
specified limits of personal data acquired or to be acquired in the future by UNI.
